When parents choose a school for their child, they do so because there is alignment in the educational philosophy and approach to student learning. It’s a team effort. We both want to achieve the same positive outcomes, therefore there has to be an authentic relationship where there is consistent and regular communication about student learning and wellbeing. It’s important that our parents and carers feel comforted in knowing that the teaching staff at Northholm Grammar are dedicated and committed to providing the best possible educational experience for our young men and women.
Northholm is a community where relationships are real, both in the classroom and beyond. We put a high priority on building and maintaining positive and caring relationships between staff, students and parents.
Teachers pride themselves on their knowledge of each student as an individual, understanding their needs and utilising their diverse experiences to accommodate the different learning styles and interests.
There is a strong collegial culture of mutual trust and support among teachers and school leaders, who work together to create a safe, respectful, tolerant and inclusive learning environment.
Through the Northholm Association, parents actively support the school and foster community spirit through social functions, fundraising and volunteering.
For graduates of Northholm, the NOSU (Northholm Old Students Union) helps former students keep in touch with each other and the school and facilitates ongoing involvement with the school community.
